About the Event
As usual we leave Highfield Road at 0700 to make our way to Rutland Water. We will have a short (30 mins) comfort stop en route.
We begin our day at the dam end of the reservoir hoping for a selection of Divers, Grebes and Ducks before making our way over to the Anglian birdwatching Centre where we will spend the rest of the day.
There is a large selection of hides on the reserve that gives views over the lagoons and different parts of the reservoir.
The centre itself hosts a gift shop, a very welcome small cafe and toilets.
