Physical Membership Card ?

After some confusion and technical issues, my wife and I joined the club last week.

Iโ€˜ve read in some of the reserve instructions that membership cards may be checked - does this mean that we can expect real, physical, membership cards ?

Neither of us are birders, per se, but I joined to improve my photography and have already visited Ladywalk a few times managing to grab a few, okay, photos. Hopefully my technique will improve with more visits and practice.

Thank You,

Great to hear that youโ€™ve managed to make use of your new membership and visit Ladywalk!! Yes, you will receive a physical membership card in your welcome pack. We do ask that, once you have received your physical card, you keep it with you when visiting the reserves. In the meantime, while youโ€™re waiting for your welcome pack to arrive, you can download a digital copy of your membership card to keep on your phone, or print a copy if you wish. Thanks Leanne, Membership Secretary

LadyBirders May round up

Thank you to all of the WMBC for expressing interest and showing support to the LadyBirders! Whenever we're out and about we often get approached by WMBC members asking how we're getting on so here's a round up of some of the things we go up to in May: We had 9 scheduled walks and we visited places such as Earlswood Lakes, RSPB Sandwell Valley, Wyre Forest, multiple trips to the wonderful Belvide reserve for photography workshops with fellow LadyBirder Kerry France and we also visited our other the fantastic Ladywalk and Blithfield reserves. We also met up with one another for ad-hoc walks in local areas and reserves then a handful of us joined the WMBC coach trips to Minsmere and Ynys-Hir!We had a really exciting opportunity to be joined by ITV at Ladywalk for an interview that was aired on the local news (https://www.itv.com/watch/news/women-only-birdwatching-group-surges-in-popularity/82lp288) , we had a stalโ€ฆ
