A visit to Harborne is well worth it for Woodpecker sightings. Both Great Spotted and Green can be found and just recently a male Lesser Spotted has been seen on occasion. The Lesser Spotted Woodpecker appears to range widely both on the reserve and out to nearby habitats so some effort and luck will be needed to spot it.
