The winter indoor meetings of Stafford branch of the WMBC restart in the
New Year at a new venue
Walton on the Hill Village Hall, Greengore Lane, Stafford. ST17 0LD.
Doors open at 1900hrs talks commence 1930hrs.

For those unfamiliar with the area Walton on the Hill Village Hall is on the
A513 next to the Tennis Club, there is a red telephone box on the main road
outside and the car park is accessed by Greengore Lane. The full schedule can be found

Field Meetings
are held monthly from September to June in conjunction with the Stafford U3A group. These are primarily aimed at inexperienced birders or those who would like to watch with others. We use our own transport and stay in a group, so numbers are limited, and we generally stay within the county, although some trips are more distant. Meetings are usually held on the third Monday of the month, starting at 10.00am.

The Staffordshire research programme includes the important Staffordshire Ecological Records project. Integral to this project is the Online Bird Atlas which is accessible via this link.
Cannock Chase Breeding Bird Survey 2022
The Branch are carrying out their quinquennial Breeding Bird Survey of Cannock Chase this year. The Chase has been divided into 26 sectors which are being surveyed by volunteers at approximately fortnightly intervals throughout the Spring and early Summer.
